The Braves (15-10) have garnered a No. 7 seed in the western section of the 1A state playoffs, and the Lady Braves (22-3) have garnered a No. 1 seed. Both will be in action in the first round at the Charles George Arena on Monday, Feb. 24.
The Lady Braves will play No. 16 seed Mitchell (3-21) at 6pm. They defeated Mitchell 90-32 on Nov. 22, 2013.
The Braves will take on No. 10 seed Bessemer City (16-10) at 7:30pm. Last week, Bessemer City lost the championship game of the Southern Piedmont Conference tournament to Cherryville 94-80.
