Feb. 23. Kinton, a Fort Loudoun State Park Ranger, will lecture on the Tellico Blockhouse. He will discuss the uniform and equipment that U.S. soldiers were issued during the time of the Tellico Blockhouse (1794-1807). He will also discuss the impact of the Tellico Blockhouse upon U.S. relations with the Cherokee and the incentives that the Cherokee had for trading with the Spanish in Pensacola and the U.S. at the Blockhouse.
