According to the Cherokee Indian Police Department, a 10-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle on Adams Creek Road in the Birdtown community on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at approximately 3:27pm.
She was transported to a nearby medical facility where she remains in critical condition.
The Cherokee Indian Police Department and the North Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the incident.
