Cherokee Indian Police reported that they received a call at around 8:53am on Monday, July 22 about a body in the river near the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort. The body has been identified as Robert Evans, 84, of Jonesborough, Tenn. No foul play is suspected. CIPD investigators are working with the victim’s family to close the investigation.
