The Cherokee Life Center offers a wide variety of exercise and rehab programs that will help anyone in need of personal care, provider recommendation, preventing or maintaining aging diseases, or help in starting an exercise plan that will fit your interests and schedule.  All one has to do is contact Lynn Taylor, wellness supervisor, 554-6496 or Ahli-sha Stephens, exercise physiologist, 554-6498 to meet and discuss your provider recommendations.

“We offer special programs or personal care for prevention & maintaining diseases, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiopulmonary disease & arthritis,” said Taylor.  “As we age, we may experience a decrease in our mobility, blood flow, lung capacity, immune system, and we are at a higher risk for falls.  This is why it is important to begin or continue an exercise program that is right for you; so you can maintain your mobility, balance, mood, wellbeing and overall happiness.”

Currently, the Cherokee Life Center offers, but is not limited to the following classes:  Cardiac Rehab (a medically referred program), Water Therapy, Senior Water Aerobics, Water Aerobics, Tai Chi, Zumba, Indoor Cycling, F.I.T. Kids (a medically referred program).  The Wellness Staff teach 23 classes Monday – Friday and offers personal training sessions.

Taylor added, “We are here to assist you with your wellness & fitness needs.  Please call us today!”
