SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING CANCELLED
The Safety Committee Meeting scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 20, has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. The Safety Committee will meet again on Thursday, Jan. 17.
ZAXBY’S FUNDRAISER
Zaxby’s in Sylva is sponsoring a fundraiser for the 12 Days of Christmas with a portion of the proceeds each day being donated to local non-profit agencies. On Friday, Dec. 21, the proceeds from this event will benefit our own Cherokee Children’s Home. Please encourage everyone you know to visit Zaxby’s with their families on Friday!
CHILDRENS HOME STAFF RECEIVES UPDATE
On Thursday, the Children’s Home staff took part in a one-hour question and answer session with Scott Donald of Padgett and Freeman Architects. The staff was able to review the plans for the new Children’s Home Campus and ask questions. According to Cris Weatherford, Children’s Home Manager, “overall the staff seemed pleased and the recurrent theme was ‘when do we move’?”
ADMIN STAFF RECEIVES TRAINING
Last week three of the Club’s Administrative Staff also received training for updated information regarding Human Resources. The training was held in Asheville and was attended by Tiffani Reed, Beth Bradley and Martha Brindle.
