Rita Ramsey Martinez, 46, of the Wolfetown community went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 in Cherokee Indian Hospital. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Betty Arch Ramsey. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnathan Arch and David Long, Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Lupe Martinez; one son, Joe Martinez of the home; three sisters, Clara Sequoyah of Cherokee, Annie Young of Cherokee, Brenda Hernandez of Cherokee; two brothers, Allen Ramsey of Cherokee, Clarence Cucumber of Canton; several half brothers and sisters.
