Beatrice Maney Carver, 66, of Cherokee passed away at home on Aug. 6, 2012 following an extended illness. She was a member of the Wright’s Creek community and was a member of Wright’s Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Emma Maney; sons, Thomas Ray Carver, Richard Allen Carver, and Andy Rae Carver; brother, Norman Maney; sisters, Dorothy L. Johnson, Carol J. Johnson, Alice E. Sequoyah, and Alyne Bradley.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Allen Ray Carver; daughter, Rhonda Rae Carver of Cherokee; son, Chad Eric Carver of Cherokee; granddaughter, Abbygale Grace Swayney of Cherokee; grandson, Statham Cash Carver of Cherokee; brother, Jim Ed Maney of Cherokee; sister, Linda M. Wiggins of Cherokee, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 7-9pm at the chapel of Long House Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 8 at 2pm at Long House Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Carver Family Cemetery.
The Rev. Richie Sneed will officiate. Pall Bearers will be Justin Carver, Johi Griffin, Dwayne A. Wiggins, Darrell Brown, Jack Jackson, and Steve McCoy.
