Three Cherokee Youth Council representatives traveled to Washington, DC recently to meet with youth tribal representatives from all over the country for the United National Tribal Youth Inc. mid-year meeting.  Representatives from the Cherokee Nation were present and joined the EBCI representatives throughout the meeting.

Shown (left-right) in the photo above are Cherokee Nation reps Patrick Hill, Eric Budder and Danielle Culp; EBCI reps William Paul, Faith Long, Simon Montelongo and Cherokee Youth Council program manager Sky Kanott.

“Our youth had the opportunity to interact with tribal youth across the U.S. as they worked together to prepare for the upcoming UNITY conference in July,” said Kanott.  “This conference alone changes the lives of our youth each year to help them develop the leadership skills to better our native communities.”
