THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Vickie McCoy on the passing of her mother, Alice Maney Sequoyah.  Alice passed away on Friday, November 4.   Vickie is the Administrative Manager for the Boys Club.

Our thoughts and prayers are also with Kay Jones and her family as her mother, Phyllis Lambert, had heart surgery on Tuesday, November 8.  Phyllis is currently hospitalized in Asheville.  Kay is the Assistant Administrative Manager for the Boys Club.

We extend our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Brianna Lambert, Administrative Assistant for the Graphics Department as she is recovering from a recent back surgery.

VETERAN’S DAY HOLIDAY

11.11.11

Remember Friday is a Club, School and Tribal and National Holiday set aside to honor and remember our Veterans.  Chances are each of us knows someone, or is related to, or is a veteran.  Please take a moment to thank them and let them know how much they mean to us and our country.  A few quotes regarding our freedom:

We make war that we may live in peace ~ Aristotle

It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you ~ Unknown

There was never a good war or a bad peace ~ Benjamin Franklin

This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave ~Elmer Davis

Freedom is never free ~ Author Unknown

It is not only the living who are killed in war ~ Isaac Asimov

History teaches that war begins when governments believe the price of aggression is cheap ~ Ronald Reagan

In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned.  When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot. ~ Mark Twain
