CHEROKEE RUNNERS

Members of the Cherokee Runners competed in two races during the third weekend of March.  Chad Bowman, Brian Burgess, Cliff Mault and Skye Littledave ran the Assault on Blackrock in Jackson County on Saturday, March 19.  This is a very challenging 8.3 mile course as it is all uphill.  Each runner posted a good time with Brian Burgess coming in 10th overall.

On Sunday, March 20, the following runners completed the hilly Publix Atlanta Half-Marathon:  Chris Reed, Gerri Grady, Robin Swimmer and Stephan Swimmer.  Lana Lambert also completed the 13.1 mile course as a walker – a feat that she has accomplished several times since she started walking for fitness.

The Cherokee Runners will be holding their regular meeting on Friday, April 1 at 5pm in the Age Link Conference Room.  Please come and join – everyone is welcome regardless of your fitness level or fitness goals.
