Three Cherokee High School wrestlers are heading to the N.C. 1-A State Wrestling tournament tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 26 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro including: Colby Yanez (22-6) in the 135lb. division, Will Bird (25-2) in the 189lb. division and Tavi Rivera (39-6) in the 160lb. division.
Two EBCI wrestlers will also be in action tomorrow in the 285lb. including 1-A West Regional Champion Christian Crowe (27-2), from Swain High School, and 1-A West Regional Runner-Up Sam Wahnetah (34-7) from Andrews High School.
