Tribal Members win at Special Olympics National Games

UPDATED MONDAY, JULY 26 

EBCI tribal members Gil Biello and Blair Sinnen, representing the Qualla Boundary Special Olympics Program, placed in three events at the 2010 Special Olympics National Games.

They paired to take 1st place in Division M6 Bowling Doubles with a score of 813 and as a part of Team North Carolina, they took 4th place in Divion M2 Team Bowling with a score of 1290.  Other members of Team North Carolina included Roy Bryant and Clifford Dehand.  

In individual competition held Friday, July 23, Sinnen took 1st place in Division M19 with a total score of 360 and Biello took 3rd place in Division M16 with a total score of 400.  

The Games were held the week of July 18-23, in Lincoln, Neb.
