Charity Ride to end up in Cherokee

Kure Beach, NC – Trinity Children Foundation will host its Trinity Children 5th Annual Charity Ride from June 24 – 26. The Ride will begin its route in Kure Beach and end in Cherokee, North Carolina.

The event proceeds benefit three North Carolina children’s care and child abuse public awareness programs: Boys & Girls Homes of North Carolina, The Carousel Center and Southmountain Family & Children Services Inc. 

Founder and President, Doris W. Eakes, states, “To guide a child through the trauma of abuse promotes a safer generation to come…making for a much better world! “

The 5th Annual Ride Marshall is Edward Wiens, Ride Captain Guy Pierce, and Ride Safety Officer Chief Greg Pratt, will lead sixty-four motorcycles, and four support vehicles along North Carolina roads to raise funds for abused and neglected children of North Carolina.

On June 23, the Trinity Children 5th Annual Trinity Children will hold its Appreciation Dinner for the riders and guest at Big Daddy’s Restaurant – Kure Beach, NC.  After dinner, Chief Pratt announced that Trinity Children will have its first Night Ride, for a short practice ride and in appreciation for the people of Pleasure Island’s support and hosting the Trinity Children Charity Ride.  The Ride will leave Kure Beach at 9:00 AM after enjoying breakfast at Big Daddy’s served by The Carousel Center.

The Charity Ride raffle funds the majority of the donations to the agencies. Tickets are available up until the drawing on June, 26 at Harrah’s Cherokee. Winner need not be present to win. Prizes are: 1st Place – 2010 Harley-Davidson Custom Deluxe Super Glide; 2nd Place – $1000.00; 3rd Place – $500.00, and the 4th Place –  His & Hers Harley-Davidson Riding Jackets. To date the Charity Ride has donated over $300,000 to help agencies to provide necessary and critical services to abused and neglected children.
