Battleship Arts Fest seeking Artists

WILMINGTON – The Battleship is hosting the Battleship Arts Fest, Saturday, July 10 in Battleship Park from 10:00am to 2:00pm.  The event features creations for sale by local artists working in ceramics, metal, wood and other media.  The event is free and open to the public and there is ample free parking. 

Artists interested in participating should email images of work, media category, and name to museum@battleshipnc.com. A formal application will be emailed.  There is no application fee, but artists are expected to supply their own booth display.  Applications will be viewed and accepted on a first come, first served basis. All applicants will be notified by June 25 if accepted. 

The event is part of an initiative by the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources to promote the state’s cultural heritage by offering  2nd Saturday events in communities all across the state on June 12, July 10, and Aug. 14.The 37 museums and Historic Sites of the N.C. Department of Cultural Resources will offer a mix of arts, history, food, or music events, and almost all activities are free.  Learn more at www.ncculture.com.
