At 10am on Friday, May 14, two separate walks were held in Cherokee.  The 6th Annual Elder’s Walk, held in conjunction with Older Americans Month, left the Cherokee BIA parking lot and went to the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds where a dinner was held.  The Indians in Sobriety Walk, held in conjunction with the Indians in Sobriety Campout weekend, left the former IGA parking lot and went to the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds.
