The still-undefeated Cherokee Lady Braves won three games this past week, but somehow managed to fall one spot to #10 in the Freeman Rankings of NC 1-A schools as of Sunday.

The Cherokee Braves went 2-1 on the week beating Andrews and Blue Ridge before falling to Highlands on Saturday night.

The Cherokee Middle School wrestling team traveled to Rosman on Wednesday, Jan. 13 and came back with a resounding 70-3 win over the Tigers.

The Cherokee Lady Braves continued their undefeated season on Monday, Jan. 11 as they beat the Enka Lady Jets 65-50.

Cherokee and Swain took on each other in basketball on Tuesday, Jan. 5 and each school came away with a win.

The Cherokee Lady Braves dismantled their opponents en route to winning the 2009 Battle of the Border Classic held Dec. 28-30.
