The Cherokee Braves and Lady Braves swept rival Swain at home on Tuesday, Feb. 2 on “Pink Zone Night” which helped raise awareness about breast cancer.

The Cherokee Braves (4-12) edged the Robbinsville Black Knights (8-8) 53-52 on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

The Cherokee Life Center held its first Annual CLC IronTeam Triathlon on Saturday, Jan. 23.

The Cherokee Middle School wrestling team had a good week as they blanked Andrews 66-0 on Tuesday, Jan. 26.

Wearing solid black uniforms bearing the seal of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians on the back, the Cherokee varsity wrestling team made history on Thursday, Jan. 28 as they became the first in school history to qualify for the State Dual Team Championship.

The Cherokee Middle School wrestling team went 1-1 on the week as they defeated Hayesville 60-30 on Wednesday, Jan. 20 and then lost to Robbinsville 54-24 the next day.

The Robbinsville Black Knights varsity wrestling team defeated the Cherokee Braves 46-25 on Thursday, Jan. 21.
