Clapsaddle named Head Women’s Coach at Swain High School
After Neil Blankenship resigned as the women’s basketball coach in February the search began to find his replacement. Swain High didn’t have to look far for that person as this past week they named Annette Clapsaddle, an EBCI tribal member, as the head women’s basketball coach.
CHS Cheerleader makes Mars Hill Squad
Madison Crowe has cheered for the Cherokee Braves since she was a little girl. Now, she’ll trade her maroon and gold pom poms for blue and gold as she has made this fall’s Mars Hill College cheer squad.
Cherokee to host Special Olympics again
Cherokee will once again host the Special Olympics Far West Spring Games.
French brings home a Sword
Landon French, an EBCI tribal member from the Yellowhill Community, attended the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) North Carolina Championship tournament held at the Grady Cole Center on Saturday, April 9 and came home with a sword.
