COMMENTARY: Hey Facebook, quit deleting photos of Natives
Last evening, I uploaded a photo I took of men of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) playing stickball during the Annual Kituwah Celebration in June. That photo was almost immediately deleted by Facebook stating it went against their community standards on “nudity or sexual activity”.
COMMENTARY: Which public is the public?
We need to figure out, as a tribe, how we want to disseminate information to our community. As you know, there is an incredible amount of information that is relevant to our community discussed in the Tribal Council sessions.

During the controversy over the constitution, the forces opposing the people’s right to choose kept using the term “unintended consequences” to describe the alleged damage the proposed constitution as written would do to the workings of the government.
SPEAKING OF FAITH: We, who are His, are anointed for what the Lord has planned…
His Garment of Praise, which He gives to each believer, is best to use against any spirit of heaviness.

In a world where information is increasingly a pay-to-access proposition, AM/FM radio broadcasts remain available to anyone with a receiver. In vehicles, it may be the only immediate access to emergency information there is.
LETTER TO THE EDITOR: A view on climate change
I was watching the news and saw that my mother was being assaulted by the family. I am currently incarcerated, so it hurts tremendously and makes me cringe to see the abuse.
