Moses (Junior) Ledford Jr., of Windsor, died peacefully at his home with his family surrounding him Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022.

Villareal Abel West, also known as “Vee”, age 66, of the Big Cove Community, went to his heavenly home on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, after an extended illness.

Mary Edith Reed, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Mission Hospital.

Darlene Ann Whitetree, 84, of Whittier, and formerly of Cherokee, Atlanta, Ga. and Jacksonville, Fla., passed away following an extended illness on Monday, Sept. 5, 2022 while at home with her loving family by her side.

Rena Jannet McCoy, age 60 of Cherokee, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Ervin and Shirlene Lambert McCoy.

Charles K. “Bear” Johnson, 84, of the Yellowhill Community, stepped into his eternal heavenly home on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022. Bear is survived by Verna Arthur Johnson, the love of his life whom he met at Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kan. They were married on Oct. 3, 2003.

Pamela Janeen (Driver) Jackson, 49, of the Big Community of Cherokee, went home to be with the Lord and her Heavenly Family on Friday, Sept. 2, 2022 following an extended illness and month stay at the Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.
