Anna Sue (Cooper) Owle, a vibrant soul cherished by many, departed this world on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023 at the age of 90 after a brief illness and stay at the Tsali Care Center. Sue was the seventh of nine children to the late Arnold and Myrtle Cooper.

Cormal Andy Wike Sr., 78, of Swain County, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 12, 2023.

Myra (My) N. Rogers-Bruneel, 59, of Cherokee, N.C., suddenly went home to be with our lord on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, at Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C. 

Cynthia “Mouse” Saunooke went to be with the lord on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023.  A native of Cherokee she was the daughter of “Mothers” Laura and Sabrina and “Fathers” Skylar, Ace, and John.”

Richard William Plummer, better known as “Willy Bob”, age 57, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.

Emily Shirley (Bellflower) Squirrell, 78, of Cherokee, N.C., passed away peacefully, following a period of declining health, on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023.

Hattie Pauline (Goodeagle) Gibson also known as Judy, age 80, of Cherokee, N.C., passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Tsali Care Center.

Carolyn Hughes Lossiah, 76, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Oct. 27, 2023.
