Dewayne Devon Harper, age 35, of Cherokee, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2024 at Cherokee Indian Hospital.

John Calvin Standingdeer Sr. (John Bull), 86, of the Big Cove Community, went to his Heavenly Home Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of the late Virginia Standingdeer.

John “Calvin” Waldroup, 62, of the Birdtown Community in Cherokee, N.C., went home to be with Jesus and many loved ones before on Tuesday, Feb. 20 after a brief illness.

Glenn Gilbert Wolfe, age 69, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024 at Mission Hospital.

Kenneth Lane Welch, 81, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 following a brief illness. 

Lehua Joan Walkingstick, also known as, “Hookie”, age 45, from Cherokee, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024.

Frances Maxine Studer, age 90, passed away at Tsali Care Center on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024, after a brief illness.

Edwina Kay Amyotte, 77, of Lodge Grass, Mont., went home to be with her Lord Jesus on Dec. 17, 2023 while at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
