Magan Leigh Wachacha, 45, of Cherokee, passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, at Mission Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on Feb. 10, 1979, in Andrews, to Berdina Wolfe Salazar and the late Herman Wachacha. Megan was an avid basket maker where she displayed her work in many craft shops around Cherokee and the Snowbird communities.

Lewana Nell Otter was born on Dec. 19, 1971. She was 52-years-old when our Lord called her home on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024.

Peter (Pete) Friedman passed away peacefully in Asheville, N.C., on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024.

Wesley Burgess Young Sr., 70, of Cherokee, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2024.  Wesley was born March 9, 1954, to the late Robert and Patricia Wells Young.  

Addie Pauline Reed, 53, of Cherokee, N.C., passed away Friday afternoon on Nov. 8, 2024, at Cherokee Indian Hospital in Cherokee, N.C., following a period of declining health.

Melissa Belle Garcia, 52, of the Painttown Community, went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024.

Misty Marie Blythe passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024.
