Committee meets to Discuss Tribal Governing Documents
The EBCI Governing Document Review Committee has begun meeting. Per a resolution submitted by Painttown Rep. Terri Henry, the committee is to review the Tribe’s “Governing” documents and at the end of the ten week period report to their findings to Tribal Council along with their ideas for a course of action for the Tribe to take.
Cherokee Girl’s Death being investigated, Swain DSS accused of Cover-Up
The events leading up to tragic death of 15-month-old Aubrey Kina-Marie Littlejohn are under investigation along with the Swain County Department of Social Services (DSS) who is accused of a cover-up and falsifying documents including a doctor’s visit that never occurred.
