Yogi Crowe Scholarship Board Members and Contributors,
My name is Randall Crowe, a recipient of the “Yogi” Crowe Scholarship Fund. I am in my third year of law school in Charlotte. The Yogi scholarship made it possible for me to have a successful summer externship with the Tribal Prosecutor, and I received the extra credits I needed to graduate on time. The Yogi scholarship has helped me focus on my studies and not my finances. After spending all day in class and all night reading, the last thing I want to worry about is how I will pay my bills. This scholarship has been instrumental to my success thus far and I would like for many other Cherokees to take advantage of these opportunities. Every Cherokee should pursue an education because of all the financial opportunities available to us we have no more excuses.
Lastly, I would like to thank Jason Smith, Esq., for giving me the opportunity to gain some courtroom experience. I would like to thank the contributors to the scholarship because without them, my internship would not be possible.
Thankfully, there are many contributors who keep the memory of Yogi Crowe and the scholarship alive. The many contributors are also proof of how many people the scholarship has helped over the years, like myself. Thanks to the Yogi Scholarship, I am well on my way to reaching my educational goals and securing my place as a future contributor.
Thank you,
Randall Crowe
