James Smoker, 69, of Cherokee passed away on Jan. 22 after an extended illness. James is the son of the late Charlie Smoker and Sarah Teesateskie.
James is survived by sisters, Jeanette Jumper of Robbinsville and Kina Bradley of Cherokee; brother John Smoker of Cherokee.
James is preceded in death by brother, Abraham Smoker and sister Melinda S. Bigwitch.
A visitaion was held on Sunday, Jan. 25 at the Church of the Lamb in Robbinsville with the the funeral service following. Burial followed at Ledford Cemetery. Friends and family were among Pall Bearers. Pastor Scott McGeary and Pastor Noah Crowe officiated.
