Treva Reed, 68, of Cherokee passed away on June 11, 2014 following an extended illness. Treva is the daughter of the late Oscar Hicks and Rachel Hicks. Treva is preceded in death by her husband Don Reed and daughter Ladonna Reed; brother, Bill Hicks and sister, Bernadette Taylor.
Treva is survived by her son, Dewayne Hicks; grandchildren, Bryce Hicks and Stephanie Hicks; great grandchild, Dawson; brothers, Arthur Hicks and wife Jo, Oscar Hicks and wife Janie, and Johnny Hicks all of Cherokee and Steve Hicks of SC; sisters, Bernadette George and Charlotte Saunooke of Cherokee and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation was held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Friday, June 13. Treva remained at the church to await the time of service on Saturday, June 14 at 11am. Burial followed at the Reed Family Cemetery with Pall Bearers, Michell Hicks, David Hicks, Mark Hicks, Travis Hicks, Zack Hicks and Jordan Hicks. Pastor Dan Conseen officiated.
