Lillian Toineeta Jumper, 78, of Cherokee, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Cherokee Indian Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Arneach and Mattie Youngdeer Toineeta. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, five brothers, a daughter, a son, and a grandson.
Lillian Jumper is survived by her husband Stancil Jumper, Jr.; two daughters, Linda Jumper of Cherokee, Tammy L. and her husband Owen D. Gibby of Cullowhee; a special daughter, Rena and her husband Co Cooper of Cherokee; five grandchildren, William Douglas Catt, Jr., Remy Denise Catt, Jeffrey Douglas Catt, Stephanie Michelle Catt, Mattie Catt; three special grandchildren, Chad, Tres, and Dusty Cooper; twelve great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jalen, Timpson, Tamika, Marissa, Tim, Tala, Cassie, Tamara, Jaycee, Kaniah, and Katlyn; seven special great grandchildren, Elise, Sophie, Addie, Chloe, Walker, Haley, Kennedy; by eight nieces and eight nephews; and by special friends, Laurel Cooper, Lillian Littlejohn, Debbie Littlejohn and Sue Hornbuckle.
Lillian Jumper was an active member and Sunday school teacher at Cherokee Church of God.
Funeral Services for Lillian Jumper will be Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 12 noon at the Cherokee Church of God, with Rev. Donald Bates of Franklin, Rev. Charles Griffin of Waynesville and Jim Frady of Bryson City officiating. Mrs. Jumper will be taken to the church on Friday at 3pm to await the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be Chad Cooper, Tres Cooper, Merrill Panther, Tim Junaluska, J.R. Catt, Neimiah Toineeta and Will Arch. Honorary Pallbearers will be Walker Cooper, Timpson Junaluska, and Co Cooper.
