CHICAGO – For the 13th consecutive year, customers of Cintas Corporation received Image of the Year (IOY) awards during a banquet held by the North American Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD) in Las Vegas on Tuesday, March 26. Embassy Suites, Harrah’s Cherokee and The New York Palace were presented with the prestigious award based on the fashion, function and creativity of their apparel programs.
“Cintas has a rich and strong history of creating and delivering innovative and inspiring fashion focused apparel designs,” said Richard J. Lerman, president and CEO of the NAUMD. “Our panel of distinguished industry and media judges look for uniform submissions that truly reflect the professionalism of those who wear them and also meet the corporate image the client wishes to project. The award is a testament to customer service excellence, and we’re pleased to present Cintas and their corporate partners with this important award.”
In the casino category, Cintas developed a uniform program for Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel to coincide with the property’s $650 million renovation. The paprika-colored uniforms complement the property’s nature theme, Smoky Mountains backdrop and hotel. In addition, by outfitting dealers and guest safety officers in Cintas’ environmentally-friendly Jacquard Shirt, the program helped fulfill Harrah’s Cherokee’s desire for a more professional, Vegas-themed image and increased sustainability. Approximately five plastic bottles are recycled in the creation of each shirt, reducing landfill waste and providing an eco-friendly alternative to traditional cotton and polyester apparel.
