Food Lion of Cherokee hosted two cookout events recently in their parking lot to help raise money for Communities in Schools of the Great Smoky Mountains which serves Swain, Graham, Jackson, Macon, Haywood and Cherokee counties and the Qualla Boundary.
John Smith, Food Lion assistant manager, related they raised $500 for school supplies for children in need. “Thank you to all who helped out and donated to this cause”
