Forrest Joel Holling – obituary

     Forrest Joel Holling, 55, of Cherokee passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 to be reunited with his Eternal family. A native of Monrovia, CA, he was the son of Phyllis Lorraine Holling of Apple Valley, CA and the late Glenn Joel Holling. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kimberly Holling.

     He is survived by three children, Jennifer Cutler, Seth Holling, and Matthew Holling all of Swain County; five grandchildren, Dallin Cutler, Camden Cutler, Abigail Cutler, Tucker Holling, and Clayton Holling; four brothers, Skip Holling, Marcus Holling, Adam Holling, and Ben Holling; three sisters, Kathryn Morris, Annie Holling and Buffy Holling; Step-mother Shirley Holling; and Uncle Dale Holling.

     Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Bishop Tim McCourtney will preside over the service with burial in Swain Memorial Park. 

     The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday at the Church.

     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Holling Educational Fund 134 Meadow Pond Lane Mooresville, NC 28117.
