Albuquerque, NM – The Sports Warrior Track Club is hosting the fourth annual Jim Thorpe Native American “National Championships” 5,000 meter run. The race will be held on the campus of Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute, Albuquerque, New Mexico, on June 18.
In conjunction with the event, former Haskell Indian Junior College (now Haskell Indian Nations University) coach, and Prairie Band of Potawatomi tribal member Gerald Tuckwin and his wife Terri will be honored.
Any former Haskell athlete, alumni or individuals, who would like to help us honor Jerry and Terri Tuckwin are encouraged to attend.
