The Cherokee Diabetes Program and other Health and Medical Division programs hosted a Men’s Health Challenge in at the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds on Wednesday, March 23. A total of 156 people participated in the event which provided health screenings, testing and information targeting at issues affecting men in the community.
The Community with the most participants was Big Cove with 32. The Big Cove Community Club won the first place prize of a 32 inch screen television, a Wii Console and a Wii Fit program. Second place went to Birdtown with 30 participant, third place was Wolftown with 22, fourth place was Yellowhill with 16, Painttown had 13, Snowbird 13, Big-Y 8 and 3200 Acre Tract with 6.
