It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Darrell Wayne Pyle, age 66.
Darrell was born in Trumann, Ark., to Eddie and Christina Pyle. He later moved to Greensboro, N.C., where he graduated from Paige High School with the Class of 1978.
A lifelong fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals, Darrell never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He worked in the construction industry for many years before relocating to Cherokee, North Carolina, where he and his wife became small business owners.
Above all, Darrell was devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lynne Cooper-Pyle; his son, Craig Pyle; his daughter, Kelsey Stinson (Lucas); and his beloved grandson, Cooper Stinson. He is also survived by his parents, Eddie and Christina Pyle; his brother, David Pyle; his sister, Dana Trickey (Mark); along with many extended family members and friends.
Darrell will be remembered for his boisterous personality, his love for his family, his sense of humor, and the many friendships he made throughout his life.
In accordance with his family’s wishes, there will be no public service. A private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
