GATLINBURG, Tenn. – Both the Fox Gap and Rabbit Creek fires are now 100 percent contained. Firefighters will continue to mop up and monitor the fires.

Firefighters have worked to suppress both fires in steep, remote terrain. Great Smoky Mountains National Park received assistance from Cherokee National Forest, Nantahala National Forest, and other U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management personnel.

All fire related closures in the park have reopened.
