ONE FEATHER STAFF REPORT
NEWTON – Jaylynne Esquivel, Cherokee Lady Braves cross country team, took fifth place at the NCHSAA 1A West Regional Cross Country Championships at Southside Park in Newton on Saturday, Nov. 2. With the finish, she qualified for the state meet to be held in Kernersville on Saturday, Nov. 9 and was also named to the All-Region team.
Oztin Swayney, Braves cross country team, also qualified for the state meet with a 21st place finish at the 1A West Regional.
