TRACK and FIELD: CHS athletes compete at WNC Polar Bear Championships

Several members of the Cherokee High School track team competed in the WNC Polar Bear Championships at Polk County High School in Columbus on Wednesday, Jan. 25.  Following are their results per nc-milesplit.com:

• Girls 1600M Run: Dorian Reed, 8^th place, 6:22.56
• Girls Shot Put: Tiarra Toineeta, 10^th place, 26-1.5; Awee Sequoyah, 16^th place, 22-11.5
• Boys 55M Dash: Jordan Grant, 37^th place, 7.63
• Boys 300M Dash: Jordan Grant, 41^st place, 44.47
• Boys 55M Hurdles: Jordan Grant, 12^th place, 10.34
• Boys Shot Put: Byron Locust, 5^th place, 42-4; Josh Driver, 36^th place, 27-4
