Members of the Cherokee Language Revitalization Initiative will be conducting Beginner Cherokee language proficiency assessments during the Cherokee Indian Fair. This effort will help the Initiative better understand Cherokee fluency across the tribe’s 14,000-plus members. Community members are encouraged to participate, and those who do will be eligible to win door prizes. Assessments should only take a few minutes. Look for their table near the main ticket booth Wednesday through Saturday.
