CLUB HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
The Boys Club will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1. The Club does not follow the same schedule as the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. Some of the Club departments may close as an Annual Leave Day, however. If you need assistance, please call the switchboard at 497-9101, someone will assist you or you can obtain a phone number for the various departments and services.

DRAWING IS SATURDAY!
The Raffle continues for the beaded stick ball sticks donated by Wilbur Paul to help raise money for the Children’s Home. These sticks won First Place in the North Carolina Mountain Fair this year! The drawing will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14. Tickets can be purchased at the first building of the Children’s Home (upstairs); from Beth Grant at the Boys Club; from Deb Chiltoskie at the BRAD Building; from Phyllis Ashenfelter at the Council House; from Kevin Tafoya at the Transit Building; and from anyone at CBC Printing. SHOP NEEDS USED COOKING OIL
The Shop needs all of your used cooking oil for their biodiesel fuel production. Since many of the local restaurants have closed for the season, new sources of used oil need to be found. Call Donnie Owle at 497-9101 for more information.
SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING
The December Safety Committee Meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 19 has been cancelled. The next regular meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 16.
REST IN PEACE NELSON MANDELA
Freedom fighter, prisoner, moral compass and South Africa’s symbol of the struggle against racial oppression – that was Nelson Mandela, who emerged from prison after 27 years to lead his country out of decades of apartheid. He died Thursday night at age 95.
