David “Stormin” Norman Hardin, 67, died at his home after an extended battle with cancer. He was the owner of the Soco Valley Motel and Loco Kwik Stop. A biker since 1964, he believed in the open road and living a simple life. He was born March 29, 1945 to the late Elnora Crowe Hardin and Red Hardin of Cherokee.
He died Dec. 23, 2012 leaving behind his family; brothers, Glenn Hardin of Andrews, Lloyd Hardin of Cherokee; wife of 33 years, Little Lou of Cherokee; daughters, Norma Rae Hardin and her son Darius David of Cherokee; Michella Lynn Nuttle of Maryville; and Ursula Ann Ilgenfritz of Maryland.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2012 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. James (Bo) Parris officiated with burial in Campground Cemetery.
