The Nantahala Chapter of the NWTF will be hosting its annual fundraising banquet at the Cherokee Indian Fairgrounds on Friday, March 11. Tickets can be purchased at the door between 6-6:30pm. The price for the banquet only is $35, for the banquet and National Membership the price is $65. The price includes a prime rib dinner with baked potato, salad, and banana pudding. Live auction items include 100+ rifles, pistols, and various prints. The silent auction will begin at 6:30 with numerous collectables and hunting accessories. Dinner will be at 7:00 with an open bar of beer and wine.
The NWTF is committed to upland wildlife habitat conservation in North America. It is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the wild turkey and the country’s hunting heritage. This organization is responsible for restoring the wild turkey population throughout North America. The NWTF also engages conservationists and hunters through outdoor education events and its Women in the Outdoors, Wheelin’ Sportsmen, JAKES and Xtreme JAKES youth outreach programs.
NWTF was founded in 1973, and is headquartered in Edgefield, SC. There are 73 Chapters in North Carolina, the closest to Cherokee is the Nantahala Chapter.
This event will be raising funds for wild turkey conservation and important programs that introduce the outdoors to women, children, and the disabled.
