The Cherokee Braves wrestling team lost in a conference match to Rosman by a score of 45-33 on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at home. The Braves lost by 12 points and they lost a total of 18 points to forfeitures which made the difference in the overall score.
According to retrorankings.com, several Braves are in the tops of their weight divisions in the North Carolina 1-A division as of the Jan. 5 ranking including:
- Levi Swearengin, honorable mention, 119lb.
- Tavi Rivera, 2nd ranking, 160lb.
- John Roper, honorable mention, 171lb.
- Will Bird, 3rd ranking, 189lb.
