Lorraine Teesateskie, age 75, of Robbinsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Cherokee Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Morgan and Bertha Smoker Rattler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Josiah Edward Teesateskie and her son David Teesateskie. She is survived by her sons, Johnny Teesateskie and Christopher “Hooty” Teesateskie, and sons and daughters in law, Perry and Mag Teesateskie, Joey and Melinda Carol Teesateskie, and Brian Teesateskie and Josie Owle of Cherokee, NC; her daughters and sons in law, Alyne and J.P. Turner and Heather and Adam Wachacha, and Samantha and Robby Callaway, and her daughter, Brenda Teesateskie, all of Robbinsville, NC. She has 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Buffalo Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Reverends Bo Parris, Phillip Ellington, Paul Teasdale, and Jeff Cole will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at 6:00 pm Friday at Buffalo Baptist Church, where the body will remain until the service. Townson-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
