Miss Cherokee travels to Tourism Exhibition in Germany

This month, Miss Cherokee Rachael Hicks traveled to Berlin, Germany to participate in ITB Berlin, a major Tourism Exhibition. She accompanied the American Indian and Alaska Native Tourism Association booth and also worked in the North Carolina Tourism booth in what is known as the world’s largest tourism exhibition.

ITB Berlin showcased over 180 countries with over 10,000 exhibitors and attracted more than 180,000 visitors. Miss Cherokee met the Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit and presented him with a Cherokee mask.  She garnered media attention in Berlin appearing on the local news and in local newspapers.
