SECTIONAL: Amaris Watty (far left) took 3rd place at the Punt, Pass & Kick Sectional Competition held Sunday, Oct. 18 at Catawba College in Salisbury. Watty won the right to compete in the Sectional contest by taking 1st place in the Girls 8-9 yr. old division at the Area Qualifier held in Cherokee on Saturday, Sept. 19. Others representing Cherokee at the Sectional Competition included: Breece Saunooke, Girls 10-11 yr. old); Damon Ledford, Boys 10-11 yr. old; and Brier Younce, Boys 8-9 yr. old.
