Timothy Isaiah McKinnell, 18, of the Painttown Community in Cherokee, N.C., joined Heaven’s Orchestra on Monday, March 10, 2025. Timothy was born June 16, 2006, to Kansas “Kandee” Parker of Cherokee, N.C. and Robert McKinnell.

Reuben Edward Taylor, 99, of Cherokee, went home to be with the Lord and loving wife, Mary Jane, Wednesday, March 12, 2025. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of the late Timpson and Cinda Reed Taylor.

Carolyn Ann Wolfe, 66, of Cherokee, “Headed Out” on her final journey, at Mission Hospital, March 8, 2025. Carolyn was born June 27, 1958, in Commerce, Ga. to the late Waymon Cain and Johnnie Sue Patrick Hill. Carolyn was a homemaker and spent her life providing a home and life for her family. She married the love her life Charles Wolfe in 1982.

John Tay Rogers, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday morning, March 1, 2025.

Harold Alfred Lossiah, better known as Al, age 81, of Cherokee, N.C., Yellowhill Community, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at Haywood Regional Hospital.

William Jarrett “Jiggy-Fly” Wilnoty, 43, of Cherokee, passed away unexpectedly in his home. He was born on Dec. 21, 1981 to Joseph A Wilnoty (Tammy) and Faye McCoy. 

Fred Bruner Lunsford, born March 7, 1925, to the late Inez Rogers and Pearlie M. Lunsford; passed to his Heavenly Home on March 1, 2025 (six days before his 100th birthday). He joined his beloved wife of 70 years, Gladys Greene Lunsford, who died on Aug. 14, 2014.
