Mary Catherine “Tootie” Smith, age 94, of Wolftown Community, widow of Sibbald Smith, passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 at Hospice at the Cherokee Hospital.

Bryan Steven Squirrel, 41, of Cherokee, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of George Squirrel of Cherokee and the late Sarah Elizabeth Bradley.

Reginald “Reg” Enloe Moody Sr., 89, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2025, at Mission Hospital after a period of extended illnesses.

Wiggins Blackfox, age 71, of Cherokee, N.C., passed away on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at Cherokee Indian Hospital.

John Boaze, of Whittier, N.C., passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, after a period of illness.

Mistee Lynn Cutshaw, 53, of Bryson City, N.C., went home to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 14, 2025. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Michael Sooter and Wanda Jenkins.

Charles Edwin Lossiah “Chuck”, 45, of the Yellowhill Community, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of Little Joe and Jessie Lossiah Watty both of Cherokee.
