Harland “Buck” Squirrell, 61, of Cherokee, N.C., passed away on Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, at Cherokee Indian Hospital in Cherokee, N.C., after a period of declining health.

Brina “Bri-Bri” L. Blauvelt, 24, passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, in Savannah, Ga.  Born in Robbinsville, N.C., she had lived in McIntosh County for the past 20 years.

Mianna Louise Cucumber Luther, 80, of the Wolftown Community, Cherokee, N.C., passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at her residence after a brief illness.
