Darrell (Dragon) Taylor, 36, of the Yellowhill Community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 in a Buncombe County hospital. A native of Cherokee, he was the son of David Taylor, Sr. of Cherokee and Mary Lou Feather of Cherokee. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Davie Lamar Taylor, Deyton Leon Taylor; paternal grandparents, Jim and Mollie Littlejohn; and maternal grandparents, Jonah and Minnie Feather.
In addition to his parents he is survived by one daughter, Justice Dara Taylor of Cherokee; one brother, David Dennis Taylor Jr. and wife Nina of Cherokee; one sister, Denise Taylor Jackson and husband Kevin of Cherokee; fiancée, Regina Watty of Cherokee; five nieces, Little Mary, Tiffany, Courtney, and Tanya Taylor, Chantele Sutton; three nephews, David and Salvadore Taylor and Devin (Smurfy) Jackson; aunts, Rose Ann Feather, Elsie Feather, Betty Sue Feather, Darlene Ledford, Ella Lee Lossiah, Nellie Littlejohn, Molly Littlejohn, Charlotte Littlejohn, Mary Jane Smith and husband Allen; and uncles, Joe Feather, Mike Littlejohn, and Burton (Frog) Littlejohn.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 29 at Acquoni Baptist Chapel. Revs. Ed Kilgore and Noah Crowe officiated with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Bird, Eddie Bird, Critter Bug Lossiah, Travis Lossie, Mike Lambert, Cricket Driver, Martin Armachain, Jr., and Huriah (Wahoo) Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were Jeff Frady and David James Littlejohn.
