Starting with basketball season, the Cherokee One Feather is taking a slightly different direction with its sports coverage. In recent years, interest in our photographs has taken off while interest in our in-game articles has declined dramatically.
We will still provide our photographs, but rather than in-game articles for each contest, we will provide pictures and a game summary with as many statistics as we are provided with. We love stats and hope to get as many as we can.
The in-game articles will be replaced with periodic enterprise articles showcasing the teams, coaches, and players throughout the season.
In addition, we want to expand some and do more enterprise articles on EBCI tribal members playing sports in college and at other area schools. If you know of such athletes, please contact the One Feather on Facebook or email Scott at scotmckie@nc-cherokee.com with their names and possible contact information.
It is our goal to continue to bring you the best possible sports coverage we can, and we feel this will generate much more interest than our previous in-game articles. Thank you.
