Evangeline “Vangie” Arch Laney, 77, of Cherokee passed away Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016.
She was born March 1, 1939 in Cherokee to the late Horace Arch and Sara Reed Arch.
Vangie is survived by one daughter, Vanessa Dawn Nolin Garcia, of Riverside, Calif.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; her baby, Sugar Arch; her babies, great great niece and nephew Araceli and Zacchaeus Arch; niece and nephew, Angel and John Clayton; great nieces Tasha and Angelique; great nephew, Clayton Arch; and her special best friend, Patricia Crockett.
In addition to her parents, Vangie was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Laney; brothers, Bud, Fred, Brother, Roger, Clayton, and Treannie Arch; and two sisters, Sis and Annabelle.
She loved her special little dog, Blackberry.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the Cherokee Wesleyan Church. Pastors Patricia Crockett and Ben Reed officiated. Burial followed at the Oocumma Cemetery on Blue Wing. Honorary Pallbearer was Zacchaeus Arch. Pallbearers were her nephews, John Clayton, Earl Martin, Troy Arch, Craig Arch, Clayton Arch, and Buster Arch.
Long House Funeral Home assisted the Laney family.
